The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Guwahati Zonal Unit, has seized 53.937 kilograms of methamphetamine tablets, commonly known as WY tablets, with an estimated illicit market value of approximately ₹43 crore. Two men from Manipur were arrested in connection with the seizure.
According to the NCB, the operation was conducted in Guwahati on October 6, 2026, following intelligence inputs. Officials intercepted two trucks and searched the vehicles, discovering specially constructed concealed compartments inside their fuel tanks. The compartments were allegedly used to hide the narcotics.
