Rimbi village in West Sikkim’s Yuksom-Tashiding constituency was hit by a major landslide late on September 24 after continuous heavy rainfall, damaging several residential structures and government accommodation.
The landslide sent mud, rocks and debris towards inhabited areas. Several houses were reportedly damaged or destroyed, while government quarters belonging to the Power Department were also affected.
