The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the Nagaland Government has reiterated its demand for the appointment of a ministerial-level interlocutor to facilitate progress in the long-pending Naga political peace process.
The decision was taken during a PAC meeting chaired by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in Kohima.

Briefing the media after the meeting, PAC Member Secretary and Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs K.G. Kenye said the committee reviewed resolutions adopted during earlier PAC meetings in 2024 and 2025 before deciding to continue with its earlier stand.
The PAC also resolved to begin consultations with various stakeholders and prepare a roadmap aimed at achieving an early, inclusive and acceptable political solution.
Mr. Kenye said the Centre had earlier assured the state government that the demand for appointing a ministerial-level interlocutor would be considered.
