Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, September 6, 2026: At least nine people have died after allegedly consuming suspected spurious liquor in Banda tehsil of Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. More than a dozen people are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals following the incident.
According to Sagar Chief Medical and Health Officer Devesh Pateria, around nine to ten deaths have been reported in connection with the suspected liquor consumption. The deceased are reportedly residents of Baraj village in the district.
