The Election Commission has also been conducting special camps at polling-station locations across the National Capital for enrolment of eligible electors. Another round of such camps will be held on October 11.
The camps are aimed at maximising the enrolment of eligible citizens who may have been left out of the electoral rolls and providing assistance with electoral-roll-related applications and queries.
The Commission has also said that in cases where electors have received notices during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) over unmapped or logical discrepancies, Booth Level Officers will visit their homes to collect the required documents. The documents will subsequently be uploaded on the ECINet platform for consideration by the Electoral Registration Officer. Such electors generally need not visit the ERO or AERO office for a hearing unless specifically required in exceptional circumstances.
