The Delhi Government has approved a proposal to double the fixed monthly incentive for ASHA workers from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday. The increase will benefit all 6,725 ASHA workers currently working in Delhi. According to the Chief Minister, the enhanced incentive is aimed at recognising their contribution to primary healthcare and providing greater financial support.
