Editorial Analysis
Why This Matters
The value of the agreements is significant for Uttar Pradesh's MSME and export ecosystem because smaller businesses often depend on access to wider buyer networks to expand production and markets. The increase in business meetings also indicates stronger direct interaction between enterprises and prospective buyers. However, MoUs and business enquiries should not automatically be treated as completed investment or realised revenue. Their eventual economic impact will depend on how many agreements progress into actual orders, investment, production and employment. The event therefore provides a measure of business interest and opportunity rather than a guarantee of ₹6,500 crore in realised investment.
The number of MoUs increased from 3,900 in 2025 to 4,400 in 2026, while the estimated value of those agreements rose from ₹2,680 crore to ₹6,500 crore.
Business enquiries also increased from an estimated ₹12,500 crore in the previous edition to ₹15,500 crore this year.
