Mizoram hosted its first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave in Aizawl on September 25, with Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurating the two-day event at Aijal Club.
The conclave has been organised jointly by the Mizoram CSR Cell and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to encourage greater corporate participation in development initiatives across the state.

Addressing the inaugural session, Chief Minister Lalduhoma said CSR funds in India are estimated at around ₹34,000 crore annually and described them as an important source of funding for development initiatives.
The Chief Minister said the Northeast, including Mizoram, receives a relatively smaller share of CSR funding compared with industrialised states. He urged companies with CSR funds to examine opportunities in Mizoram and consider meaningful interventions in the state.
Mizoram is presenting 85 investible projects compiled from different departments of the state government during the conclave. Company representatives and departmental officials are expected to discuss these projects and explore potential areas of collaboration.
